These terms cover your use of the Brickanize app. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Brickanize is
Brickanize is a fan-made app for cataloging LEGO sets, scanning barcodes, looking up sets and their market values, and keeping a personal collection. It is not made by, sponsored by, or endorsed by the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group.
Using the app
You get a personal, non-transferable license to use Brickanize on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or try to break or overload the app or the service behind it.
Accounts are optional
Brickanize works without an account, and your collection lives on your device. Signing in unlocks premium features and, on some devices, starts with an anonymous session so you can try scanning right away. Sign-in uses Sign in with Apple on iPhone and Google Sign-In on Android. You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in secure.
Purchases and subscriptions
Brickanize offers a premium upgrade and some one-time purchases. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and your account is charged through your Apple or Google account. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. A lifetime purchase is a single charge with no renewal.
A single-scan unlock is a one-time purchase that lets you keep scanning barcodes. Free scan credits earned by watching an ad are a courtesy, not a purchase, and they don't transfer or restore across devices.
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by Brickanize. We never see or store your card. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, so a refund request goes through the store you bought from.
Ads
The free version of Brickanize shows ads, provided through Google AdMob, and offers an optional ad you can watch to earn free scan credits. Premium removes ads. How ads and the advertising identifier are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Shopping links and affiliate commissions
When Brickanize shows you where a set is on sale, some of those links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Brickanize is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Which retailer we show you is chosen by price, not by commission, and a commission never changes the price you pay.
Set data and market values
Set details come from Brickset and price data from BrickLink. Market values shown in the app are estimates based on recent sales data and are for reference only. They are not an appraisal, an offer, or financial advice, and we don't guarantee their accuracy or that any set will sell for a shown price.
The app is provided as is
We work to keep Brickanize accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Brickanize and Laughter Consulting are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app, and the third-party catalog and price data is provided by its sources without warranty.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top, and continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
